A complete 4K camera and a 3-axis cardan system are integrated with the DJI Phantom 3 Professional quadcopter. In addition to video, the camera is capable of shooting up to 12 MP photos with non-proprietary JPEG or DNG RAW format. The three axles of the gimbal give you pan and tilt control, and maintain the level of the horizon line, even as aircraft seats. The different settings of the gimbal allow the camera to lock onto a fixed subject, move manually using the transmitter's rotarios or the application, or simply provide stabilization of the camera.
This Phantom 3 package is classified as "ready to fly". This means that the basic elements to get you in the air are included - a flight battery, charger, and pre-bound handheld transmitter (radio controller), and 16GB microSD card between them. Depending on your application, you may also need additional memory cards, additional flight batteries and a mobile device to access the application, and possibly other accessories. Also keep in mind that a number of important compass and GPS calibration steps must be performed before flying to ensure that the flight control computer is operating properly. Consult the manual or Quick Start Guide before your first flight.

Phantom 3 Flight Control System
Main Controller
The burden of processing and analyzing the flight data in real time occupied the main controller, the computer flight control system. Collects system-wide data, including engine speed, GPS location, command inputs and automatic sensor data, and analyzes everything to tell your Phantom 3 exactly how to behave at any given time
GPS navigation
Due to the complexity associated with multi-rotor aircraft the Phantom 3 is based on a GPS-based navigation system to maintain flight stability and provide other features. While fully manual operation is possible, most users, especially cameramen hoping to get the smoothest shoots possible, will opt for one of the GPS-assisted modes
IMU

The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) uses a 6-axis gyroscope plus an accelerometer to follow the slightest tilt or change in acceleration. This data is relayed to the Main Controller and used to help maintain a stable flight
CES
Four electronic speed controllers (ESCs) not only transmit vital information about engine speed to the main controller, but also send commands back to engines based on their input. This constant communication helps keep your Phantom 3 stable in flight, and also helps you to achieve any flight movement, from soft pans to fast acceleration.
Vision positioning system for inland navigation
Vision Positioning System uses a specially designed camera as well as sonic waves to provide a comparable stability function indoors or near the ground as the GPS does outdoors. This technology allows the Phantom 3 to maintain its location, stop when the controls are released, and respond quickly to pilot commands, even when GPS is not available
Automatic take-off
With a twist on the DJI Pilot application, the Phantom 3 will power up its engines and rise to a pre-set height. Then they hover in place, completely motionless until you direct it to where to go
Automatic Landing
When GPS is available, Phantom 3 remembers the exact point it took off. Simply touch a button to return to the point from which it took off.

If the Quadcopter loses the controller signal for any reason or the battery starts to run low, the "go home" function will start. The aircraft will ascend to 60 feet and then make a straight run to the "home position" you have defined during the GPS calibration process. Once there, it will descend safely to the ground and will be extinguished
Intelligent Guidance Control (IOC)
IOC is designed to help make the flight more intuitive. Nominally, the yaw control will allow the Quadcopter to rotate continuously, which can quickly become confusing if you lose track of which way is "front". Suddenly your controls can be mixed, where pressing right causes the boat to move to the left and press forward makes it move backwards. The Intelligent Guidance Control prevents this from happening, keeping the Quadcopter's "tail" pointing roughly at the pilot at all times
Waypoints
Use the ground station software provided by the application to design autopilot courses based on waypoints
Follow me
With Follow Me, the aircraft will automatically follow you and capture all your movements from a single aerial perspective
Course block
When you activate Course Lock, the controls will be set in relation to the current aircraft path. This easy navigation allows you to fly in a set direction as you fly alongside moving objects or through scenes.

Home Lock
Set your controls to be relative to the starting point. Easily remove the joystick to take the plane home, or push forward to fly farther, no matter which side you face
Integrated 4K camera
Up to 4K video and 12MP still images
Included camera system includes video recording up to 4K30
